After Holiday Green-Blueberry Smoothie Detox Recipe

New Year Greetings 4am Fitness Crew.

As promised to you and your liver, here is an Antioxidant Packing, Super Healthy, Super Delicious and Super Easy Smoothie to put together. 

While we were enjoying the Holidays, our liver was working overtime - too much sugar, too much processed foods, too much fried foods, too much alcohol. 

It is time to DETOX!!!

PREP TIME: 10 min

TOTAL TIME: 10 min

SERVES: 1-2 

Recipe Highlights

  • High Fiber

  • Low Calorie 

  • Low Sodium

  • Vegetarian

  • Vegan

  • Gluten-Free

  • Low Cholesterol 

  • Low Saturated Fat

 Ingredients: Organic ingredients highly recommended

  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Plant Milk. (My Preference is Almond or Coconut Milk)

  • 2 Tablespoons Plain Unsweetened Non-Dairy Yogurt

  • 1 – 2 Ripe Frozen Banana

  • ½ cup of Frozen Pineapple

  • ½ cup of Blueberries

  • 2 Tablespoons of Flaxseed Meal or Grounded flaxseeds

  • 1 – 2 Handful of Baby Spinach or Kale

  • A Dash of Ground Cinnamon 

  • Unsweetened Coconut Flakes (Optional) 

Directions 

Blend all ingredients, except coconut flakes, to your desired consistency. Add water to thin or ice to thicken. I am always adding ice as I enjoy an ice cream consistency. Top with Unsweetened Coconut Flakes.
